View/print your DMV tax records online: edmv.ncdot.gov/MyDMV

To log in, you will need:

1. Your NC Driver’s License or NC ID Card Number
2. The last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (or I-94/Alien Registration Number)
3. Your birth date

Once logged in, you can view and print your DMV tax records anytime.

When reviewing your vehicle registration renewal notice, please confirm that the county listed is correct.

Renewal Process

• Renewal notices are mailed about 60 days before registration expiration.
• Review your notice carefully to make sure the jurisdiction/county is correct.

What Happens After You Request a Change of County

Once you submit the request:

Follow these steps:

1. The incorrect county issues a check to Alamance County.
2. Alamance County creates a new bill in the system.
3. Your payment is applied to the corrected account.
4. The account will show either:
   1. A refund due (if you overpaid), or
   1. A balance due (if additional tax is owed).
5. Any refund or bill will be mailed directly to you.
